We'll Meet Again!
Newbiggin and North Seaton Royal British Legion and guests enjoyed an afternoon of laughter at a Veterans Dinner Dance thanks to the help of Newbiggin LIFE. Jack Dodds, Secretary for the Legion asked Newbiggin LIFE to help secure over £2000 from the Big Lottery's Fund Home Front Recall for funds to pay for a reunion for local war veterans.
The dinner dance held at Newbiggin Sports and Community Centre on July 2nd was attended by over 60 veterans and their partners/ carers who enjoyed a three course meal and entertainment from Newbiggin Middle School Choir and The Vance Clayton Duo.
"I would like to thank Newbiggin Life for their support in helping Newbiggin and North Seaton Royal British Legion to secure the grant, said Secretary Jack Dodds. "It was a tremendous day and the veterans thoroughly enjoyed it".
