An A'mazing effort!
Teenagers from Newbiggin by the Sea recently beat off stiff competition named as one of the six projects considered for a £50,000 cash grant by The National Lottery People's Millions.
And although their design for a maze, sledging hill and stepped hill - which are all interconnected by 'whispering tubes' was pipped to the post by a project in Sedgefield, Newbiggin LIFE has promised to explore other opportunities to secure the funding to deliver their innovative scheme.
The project which was featured on the Tyne Tees North East Tonight programme as part of the People's Millions initiative was designed by a dozen youngsters from the village with the help of the Newbiggin LIFE initiative, Wansbeck District Council and Architect Anna Dekker.
