Memorial Park restoration
The restoration of Memorial Park to its former glory is a high priority for the community and has featured strongly in the ongoing consultation process.
Thanks to a strong collaborative approach between the Northumberland Strategic Partnership, Wansbeck District Council, the Newbiggin by the Sea Community Regeneration Partnership and Newbiggin Life, funding to the sum of £150,000 has been secured to apply towards this project.
The grant has been allocated from the Government's Single Regeneration Budget via the Northumberland Strategic Partnership. Newbiggin Life is organising a working party to consider how the money can be put to optimum use. Improvement work is expected to commence on the site during this financial year.
